Apostle Anthony Berry
I have been saved for 27 years, and have experienced a number of situations where the only way I was able to be delivered is through God's merciful graces. It is my obligation to share the agape of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ to a loveless civilization.

You are not alone part III
You are not alone part III
By Minister Anthony Berry

This is a major problem with many churches where the members consist mostly of family. If the spirit of freedom (the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ) doesn’t exist the people are bound. Even when the spirit of freedom is evident in the body of believers it can be choked off by our carnality. I mean take jealousy for instance. Most of the strife in the collective church (I say collective because our individual bodies are the church) is due to jealousy. This can stem from always hearing good things about a certain individual. How well someone dresses, for having a bigger house than another brother or sister; this list goes on. This is the material part of the alienation of church members. Then there is the spiritual aspect, that because God has blessed someone more than he blessed us we get jealous. In my situation they young people felt like I had a holier than thou attitude, which I didn’t. I was only trying to live a Godly life and adhere to the teachings of Christ (which got me labeled a rebel later). I was naïve and thought that my alienation was due to people just not liking me. Satan had me set up for a big fall and because of life and the traps of Satan and the flesh not being taught I was enticed and fell. There were mitigating circumstances, but I could accept no excuses from myself. I was accepted and all of this because someone said that I wasn’t as holy as everyone thought. I looked at myself and asked “Was this all it was that stopped me from being accepted?” I didn’t realize what it cost me at the time, but I found out soon after. I had a very hard time looking at myself as a Christian because I felt that I failed God. I internalized this for many years; there was no one that I could talk to. The adversary hindered me and made me feel very alone.
I want you all to know right here and now, that when you feel that you are alone you need to listen to the internal voice. The voice of God that is trying to tell you “How can you say that you are alone, I am right here with you, going through with you. Can’t you hear me?” The Lord is shouting at us be we can’t hear him because of our pity party. This is the good news about not being, alone; and the victory of God through the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ: Rev. 3:17-20; 17. Because you say I am rich and don’t need anything don’t you know that you are in sorry spiritual shape, and that in reality you are really poor, and miserable, and blind and naked. This is for the people who have all of the other church members (cliques) around them. The people that surround them are all in the same condition that they are. 18. I told you to buy gold tried in the fire to make you rich; and white clothes so that you wouldn’t be ashamed of your nakedness. You don’t open yourself to the word so that you can see. Be zealous and repent. These cliques misread the word zealous, and are jealous instead. The gold tried in the fire is the spirit of God, they way that we “buy” the gold is by truly having a relationship with him. He actually paid the price for the gold on his cross. 19. Everyone that I love, I chastise.
The next verses tell why you are not alone, and everyone else makes you feel alone, 20. Behold, I stand at the door, and know: if any man hear my voice, and open the door I will come in to nim, and will sup with him, and he with me. The next is the promise to you because you are chosen (note I said chosen, not called). 21, To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne (you can start shouting now), even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne. He that hath an ear to hear let him hear what the spirit says to the church.
In my conclusion; you really never had it so good. Didn’t the so called righteous folk do the same thing to Jesus in his day. Be glad; be steadfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord forasmuch as ye know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord: I Corinthians 15:58.
In the words of another preacher, Minister Betty Fairnott, now the choir and sit down and shut up.
Greet yourself with a holy kiss.
