Apostle Anthony Berry
I have been saved for 27 years, and have experienced a number of situations where the only way I was able to be delivered is through God's merciful graces. It is my obligation to share the agape of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ to a loveless civilization.

How to Live the Godly Life

By Apostle Anthony Berry

The Godly life is what makes a Christian perfect in the sight of God. Unlike the “holy life”, the Godly life leaves room for repentance whether you are the Shepherd or the flock.  It is so much more important for the Shepherd to be subject to the Godly life because when we sin we automatically leave a foot hold for Satan to torment us with.  Let me correct that, it is more like a doorway; that Satan can use to enter our spirit anytime he wants.  It is this doorway that he uses to tempt us with all types of ungodliness. For instance, if we tell a lie, we have to tell another lie to back up the first lie and it becomes an endless chain.  Every time we tell another supportive lie Satan laughs harder and harder.  This makes not only our holiness a joke to him, but he also points his finger at God. Every time we fall into temptation this hurts God because for every temptation, God makes an exit for us to use before we commit to entering into sin.  When we are tempted the temptation can be used to the glory of God when we resist (James 1, the entire chapter).

The first rule for living a pleasing life to the Lord is when we repent for our sins. Repentance is a heart-felt apology for the sin we have committed.  NO MATTER WHAT THE SIN, WHEN WE REPENT TO THE LORD, HE WILL FORGIVE US BY THE BLOOD OF HIS SON JESUS CHRIST.  The only time that I see that we won’t be forgiven is for a sin against the Holy Ghost.  The second step is to realize that your salvation is a personal; no one can tell you that you aren’t saved after you have taken Jesus to be your personal savior he said “I am with you till the end of the world” (Matt. 28:20).  When someone discovers the sin that you have committed and tries to tell you that you aren’t saved tell them: “Let he that is among you without sin cast the first stone.” Tell them that you have repented and unlike men, God has cast your sins into the sea of forgetfulness.

Rule number three:  Allow the Lord to change your life; when people talk about having to get things right before they take Christ as their personal savior, they never get it right.  We don’t have the power to change any of our dirty ways; we can only do this when we receive power from on high.  You must give your life to Christ in all things first; then you must be honest with yourself about when the power has come.  Then you can turn away from all wickedness.
